I love new year. I love the anticipation of things to come and everything (including my diary) is crisp and new.
New year is also a good time to reflect on the previous year – what has worked well and what hasn’t worked so well.
2018 was a big year; saying goodbye to steady employment and setting up Anderson Fundraising. This step has helped to provide support to charities where they most need it. In 2018, Anderson Fundraising has:
- Applied to identified grant-making trusts and foundations, as well as the Big Lottery Fund for vital funding towards new and existing programmes and core costs;
- Researched the need for new and existing work, demonstrating to potential funders that new projects are needed and can make changes to potential beneficiaries;
- Reviewed and redrafted existing fundraising material;
- Supported charities to become more ‘outcome-focused’;
- Developed future fundraising strategies and plans for charities;
- Supported charities with bids to win public sector contracts.
I’m proud to say that since April 2018, Anderson Fundraising has helped charities to raise over £1.3 million. £1.3 million!
I’m so proud of the charities that I work with; seeing first hand the changes they create for disadvantaged people is inspiring, motivating and is the real reason I do what I do.
2018 was brilliant – 2019 has a lot to live up to!
